Biography

Justin Christopher Derrico was born May 26, 1982 in Long Island, New York. He then moved to Charlottesville, Virginia with his family when he was 6 years old. When Justin was 15 he found a strong pasion for the guitar after hearing Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix. He took off and excelled faster than the normal human being...almost as if he was a machine.

Justin moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and went to Musicians Institute of Technology in Hollywood. While attending MI, he auditioned for The Calling and after a call back or two, he landed the gig. After touring with The Calling Justin played with artists such as VV Brown, Robin Thicke, and Lil Wayne. While on tour with Robin Thicke Justin got a call to audition for Grammy award winning artist, Pink. He took the gig and has toured with Pink as her lead guitar player for the past 4 years. Justin's also credited for playing with, Tina Turner, The Pussycat Dolls, and Beyonce.

Pink

Justin Derrico joined pop phenomenon P!NK back in 2006 after taking over the role from fellow MI grad Rafael Moreira. “I auditioned for it with several other guys and because we hit it off right off the bat, they hired me on the spot.” - Performing Musician

The Calling

In 2004 Justin Derrico was given the chance to tour with rock band The Calling. "I always new Chops was destined for great things. His guitar playing ability was always way beyond his years from the first day he came in and auditioned for me." - Alex Band
